Week of September 12 & 15

Thanks to those who braved the gloomy wet weather last Saturday.  Our amazing vendors are at the market for you rain or shine!  We saw more canning tomatoes, peppers, and other summer produce, along with pumpkins, and a truckload of watermelons!

Last week, WIC and Power Up Nutrition returned with more nutrition information, kids' activity books, and recipes and samples for pumpkin applesauce (below).

Part-time vendor Tony's Orchard joined us for the first time this season with locally grown gala apples.

This week you can register to vote in the community booth, courtesy of the League of Women Voters of Indiana County

As always, you can swipe your credit, debit, or EBT card for market tokens in the market information booth.  Vendors who accept tokens will have a sign posted in their booths.

You can now also receive market reminders and sneak peeks of what produce is available, special activities, etc. straight to your phone!  To sign up for text reminders, text @indianaco to the number 81010 or follow this link.

Save the Date!
Harvest for the Hungry is Saturday, September 22nd!!

September is Hunger Action Month, so we set aside one day each year to collect donations for a local food pantry.  Just purchase extra food at the market and drop it off in the market booth.

There will also be live music, cooking demonstrations, and storytime for the kids.  Bring the whole family to a fun morning at the market, and help fight hunger in our community!

See you at the market!
