It's almost here - the market opens this Saturday, June 1st!!!  We have a lot in store, including more than a dozen local farmers and producers, day lilies, art, live music, and giveaways!

Check out our Facebook event for more info and updates.

This week, we also kick off the season with some great groups in our special booths.  You can look forward to work by local artist Ashleigh Bowman, daylilies with grower and hybidizer Gary Ball, and live music by Country Blue, an acoustic country and bluegrass duo.

As you shop, be sure to also stop in to the market information booth.  We'll have info about the market, including seasonal food guides and other handy resources, and we'll be giving away free, reusable shopping bags to the first 150 customers!

The market booth is also where you can swipe your credit, debit, or EBT card for tokens to spend with participating vendors.  Find details here on how to use your card and tokens at the market.
  • Cards will be accepted at Saturday morning markets ONLY.  Tokens can be spent on any market day with participating vendors.
  • Participating vendors will post a sign in their booths stating that they accept market tokens.  A list of participating vendors is also available at the Market Information booth.
  • When you arrive, visit the Market Information booth.  A volunteer will swipe your card for the amount you request and give you tokens to spend at the market.
  • You can choose how much market money you want.  Credit/debit tokens are $1 each; SNAP tokens are $0.50 each.
  • Credit/debit transactions include a small transaction fee to help us cover the cost of this service.  There are no fees for SNAP transactions
  • Spend your tokens like cash with participating vendors.  Note: Change cannot be given for purchases made with SNAP tokens.
  • Tokens do not expire.  If you do not spend your market money, you can use it next week, next month, or even next season!
While we hope that many shoppers will take advantage of this system, please remember that cash (especially in small bills) is still the preferred payment method for many of our market vendors!

We would like to thank the Center for Community Growth for providing funding Foodbucks once again this season.  This program allows us to increase access to fresh, local foods by matching tokens for EBT customers (up to $20 per customer per market day).  Thank you for your support!
