Final Market of 2018!

Last chance to shop!!!!  This Saturday is our final market for 2018!

Help us finish our season strong and celebrate another wonderful year of the market.  Stop and chat with friends, as well as your favorite vendors before we take a much-needed break through the winter.  Many of our vendors also have e-mail lists you can join to stay updated on available products or drop-points during the off-season.

Come stock up on your local favorites in produce, fall decor, meats, dairy, bread, flour, honey, ferments, mushrooms, and much more!

Available items at fall markets may include beets, broccoli, cauliflower, flowers, eggplant, garlic, gourds, dried herbs, kale, kohlrabi, lettuce and other salad greens, melons, mushrooms, onions, peppers, potatoes, pumpkins, radishes, winter squash, tomatoes, turnips, meats, eggs, bread and other baked goods, flour, raw and pasteurized milk, canned and fermented foods, honey, soap, and more!

NOTE:  While we will not have the full booth set up again this week, you can still swipe credit, debit, and EBT cards for market tokens at the trailer for Mahoning Creek Farm (meats) in the center of the market.

See you at the market!

October 9th Market

It may feel like summer again this week, but the countdown is on for our market season.  If you haven't been to the market in a while (or if you have) - come shop while you can!!

Our Wednesday market wrapped up this week.  Many thanks to the Kovalchick Corporation for allowing us the use of our Wednesday market space on Wayne Avenue again this year!

We have just 3 Saturday markets remaining for 2018, so come see us!!  While some produce is winding down for the year, there is still a lot to see.

Honey is back!  This week, we welcomed back Eden Apiaries, and Longview Farm & Apiary now has honey for sale, as well.  This will be the final week for Natalie's Goodies, so if you need one last cinnamon roll, some cookies, or maple syrup, be sure to stop by.

Available items at fall markets may include beets, broccoli, cauliflower, sweet corn, cut flowers, eggplant, garlic, gourds, dried herbs, kale, lettuce and other salad greens, melons, mushrooms, onions, peppers, potatoes, pumpkins, radishes, winter squash, tomatoes, turnips, meats, eggs, bread and other baked goods, flour, raw and pasteurized milk, canned and fermented foods, honey, maple syrup, soap, and more!

This week, we welcome a new artisan to the market - Dandi Crafts by Fairman.  Stop by to shop their handmade wooden home decor items.

Week of October 3 & 6

As we move into October, change is in the air - the weather is cooling, leaves are just beginning the change color, and the market enters its final month of the season.  We hope you will continue to join us and enjoy all the local foods that autumn has to offer!

You might also notice that our special booths are wrapping up for the season.  Many thanks to all who provided music, children's activities, information, and shared their artwork this year - more than 20 different individuals/groups joined us for special booths in the 2018 season!

The market is OPEN this Saturday, so be sure to stop by and see us before or after the Homecoming Parade - we're only a block away!

Last week, IUP's Student Association of Nutrition and Dietetics (SAND) shared healthy snack recipes in the kids' booth.  Families made their own spider snacks and fruity cat hat snacks - YUM!

This Wednesday, October 3rd, is our FINAL WEDNESDAY market of the season.  Saturday markets continue through the end of the month.

This week, we also celebrate Volunteer Appreciation Week.  A dedicated team of volunteers have staffed our card swipe booth all season, so if you've shopped with a credit, debit, or EBT card this season, you have them to thank!!  The market is entirely volunteer-run, so we are so grateful to have these wonderful folks on board.

Calling all local artists!!

The Market will host an Arts Day in conjunction with our regular farmers' market on
Saturday, October 13th.
It is FREE to participate, but space is limited.
