Can you believe it's almost the start of another fantastic market season!?!Here are the official dates for our 2014 Indiana County Farmers' Market!!
Opening day: Saturday, June 7 2014 9:00-noon
First Wednesday: Wednesday, June 11 2014 3:30-5:30
Saturdays will run from June 7 to October 25 and Wednesdays will run from June 11 to October 1.

Our Wednesday market is relocating to Wayne Avenue across from the Kovalchik Complex (in the old Bilo parking lot). We are very excited to have this new space that will provide us with more room to GROW as well as hopefully some new customers! For those of you who used to walk to the Wednesday market, we hope you can still make the trip and know that there is a bus stop across the street from the market if walking is not an option!!! We are very grateful to the Kovalchik Corporation who are generously letting us use this space! PLEASE NOTE that our Saturday market will remain in it's current location behind S&T Bank at 8th and Church Street.
As well as having a new location for our Wednesday market, we have a couple other new things coming to our market.

For our Saturday market we are going to have a Welcome to the Market tent with information about our market, weekly recipe cards, and educational materials on food, nutrition, farming, gardening, the environment, and more!
We will also have a Children's Area under our Welcome to the Market tent. Our Children's Area will be sponsor
ed by different organizations each week. We will have fun educational activities for the weeks we have a sponsor, and for the weeks we don't have a sponsor, we will have coloring activities, paints, chalk, and more!!!! While we encourage your children to enjoy our Children's Area, please know that it is not a babysitting tent, and you'll be responsible for your children while they're at the market.
On Saturdays we will also be featuring different artists from the area at our artist tent, these artists will change weekly. We also will have our Community Tent again where local groups can come and promote their organization. We will have live music on Saturdays too!!
Saturdays will also be the days when you can find local chefs preparing delicious food demonstrations with our fresh market produce!
Please check our calendar (updated as soon as we have the events scheduled) to see when there will be food demonstrations, who will be at the Children's Area, which artist will be featured at our artist tent, which community group will be promoting their organization at our Community Tent, and which musicians will be performing on Saturdays!
One last change to the market this year, while we love all animals, we ask that you please do not bring your pets into our market area due to PA Act 106, Food Safety Modernization Act. Pets are not allowed to be where food is being sold. We apologize for any inconvenience, but thank you for understanding!!!We look forward to seeing you at our opening day of the 2014 market season!
