Our market crowds have continued to surprise us, and even with the all day rain we had on Saturday, the crowd was still there! Our musician, Christian Jerman, really entertained and our artisan had a lot of success! Last week we visited our last two farms, A&L Produce and Jeff's Produce, check out their bio pages to learn more about where your food is coming from!! I also wanted to note that last week I had a misprint, Eagle Run Farm has an EBT machine that accepts SNAP cards; HOWEVER, it does not work to accept SNAP at our market, only at the other market they are a part of, sorry for any confusion. His machine does accept credit and debit cards at our market though. We are hoping to have our own equipment next year to be able to accept SNAP.
At the Wednesday market this week we will have artisan Crystal Miller back for the third and final time, so be sure to come prepared if you've been interested in her work the past couple of Wednesdays. We will also have an IRMC dietitian in our Community Tent with healthy living tips. Saturday's market is fully booked with Sean Howard playing in our Musician Tent, Nancy Heath who creates stained glass in our Artisan Tent, a food and nutrition specialist, Nicole Dann, in our Community Tent, and an interactive learning experience for children on good and bad bugs in the garden in our Kid's Tent presented by Penn State Master Gardeners Cindy Hatcher and myself (parents you can learn a bit from this too!!) Below is our list of vendors who will be present at the market this week.
