We hope you are enjoying the 4th of July holiday this week. What a great time to celebrate our great nation while enjoying the company of family and friends, summer fun, and of course some delicious local foods!
The fun doesn't stop after the 4th - join us Saturday for a morning of fun, FREE activities at our annual Kids' Day event!
Planned activities and special booths include:
- The Children's Advisory Commission of Indiana County - Learn the answer to the age-old question, "How long does it take to grow a pizza?" There will also be a farm-theme photo booth and other activities
- SQUAD Jr. "Flower Pounding Pigment + Print" - Create pigments from flowers and leaves on re-use fabrics and watercolor papers (great for children over age 1)
- Girl Scouts - Crafts
- Storytime with a local consultant for Usborne Books & More
- The Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank - information about SNAP, recipes, and kids' activities
- Live music by Dan Stonerook
Remember to stop by our market information booth, too! Kids can pick up a scavenger hunt sheet and search for different veggies in each vendor booth as you shop. We'll also have activity sheets and a fun game with locally-milled grains!
Of course, we'll still be swiping credit, debit, and EBT cards for tokens to spend with participating vendors.
