Last week, we saw more varieties of fall/winter squash, lots of canning tomatoes, honey, and much more of the summer favorites you've been enjoying. We welcomed rug maker Dolores Lezark to the artisan tent, and enjoyed hot dog samples from Mahoning Creek Farm.
This week, we have Color to Dye For returning to the artisan booth with handmade jewelry, tie dye, seasonal pillows, and more.
We also welcome back WIC and Power Up Nutrition. WIC staff will be on hand to assist clients in receiving and redeeming vouchers for the Farmers' Market Nutrition Program (FMNP), which are accepted by many of our vendors. The Power Up Nutrition Education Program. Power-Up provides no-cost nutrition education, recipes, and food demonstrations and tasting to highlight local produce.
Part-time vendor Shine Natural Beauty will also join us this week, so stop by for your handmade bath and beauty needs!
As always, you can swipe your credit, debit, or EBT card for market tokens in the market information booth. Vendors who accept tokens will have a sign posted in their booths.
You can now also receive market reminders and sneak peeks of what produce is available, special activities, etc. straight to your phone! To sign up for text reminders, text @indianaco to the number 81010 or follow this link.
See you at the market!
We are seeking sponsors for our Foodbucks incentive program at the market. Under this program, customers using an EBT card at the market booth receive an equal amount in Foodbucks - doubling their market dollars. This draws new customers to the market and increases access to fresh, local foods for low-income families in our community. If you are a business or organization that is interested in sponsoring Foodbucks, please contact us at indianafarmmarket@gmail.com.
